We are seeking a highly skilled Patient Access Specialist to join our team at AdventHealth. As a Patient Access Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring that patients receive the best possible care by registering them for all service lines, verifying eligibility, and obtaining pre-certifications and authorizations.
Key Responsibilities- Registers patients for all service lines, including inpatient and outpatient services
- Verifies patient eligibility and obtains pre-certifications and authorizations as needed
- Makes financial arrangements and requests payments for services
- Performs cashiering functions and clears registration errors
- Edits pre-bills and performs other duties as required
- Maintains a close working relationship with clinical partners to ensure open communication and collaboration
- Provides PBX coverage and support as needed
- Proactive and detail-oriented individual with excellent communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred
