About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Patient Access Specialist to join our team at AdventHealth. As a Patient Access Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring that patients receive the best possible care by registering them for all service lines, verifying eligibility, and obtaining pre-certifications and authorizations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Registers patients for all service lines, including inpatient and outpatient services
  • Verifies patient eligibility and obtains pre-certifications and authorizations as needed
  • Makes financial arrangements and requests payments for services
  • Performs cashiering functions and clears registration errors
  • Edits pre-bills and performs other duties as required
  • Maintains a close working relationship with clinical partners to ensure open communication and collaboration
  • Provides PBX coverage and support as needed
Requirements
  • Proactive and detail-oriented individual with excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred
