Cryptologic Intelligence Specialist

Cryptologic Linguists play a crucial role in supporting the military's intelligence efforts. As a Cryptologic Linguist, you will be responsible for analyzing and translating foreign communications to provide real-time intelligence to commanders.
Key Responsibilities- Analyze foreign communications to support missions
- Provide transcriptions and translations in a foreign language
- Utilize advanced signals technology
- Handle classified information and prepare intelligence reports
- Be between the ages of 17–35
- Be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident
- Possess a High School Diploma or GED
- Skilled Technical (ST) 91 on the ASVAB
- Have strong language skills and analytical abilities
Candidates who are not fluent in a foreign language will attend training at the Defense Language Institute Foreign Language Center for 6 to 18 months prior to attending Advanced Individual Training. Once completed, soldiers will receive specialized training in cryptology and languages.
