The U.S. Army is seeking highly skilled Cryptologic Linguist Specialists to join their team.

Job Description:

As a Cryptologic Linguist Specialist, you will be responsible for identifying and analyzing foreign communications, providing transcriptions and translations in a foreign language, utilizing advanced signals technology, and handling classified information and preparing intelligence reports.

Your primary focus will be on supporting missions by using your language expertise and high-tech intercept systems.

Requirements:
  • You must be between 17–35 years old.
  • You must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident.
  • You must possess a High School Diploma or GED.
  • You must have Skilled Technical (ST) 91 on the ASVAB.

Additionally, you must take the Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery to identify which Army jobs best fit your strengths.

Training and Development:

Basic Combat Training is 10 weeks long, followed by Advanced Individual Training at Goodfellow AFB, TX.

The length of AIT will vary depending on the selected language.

If you are not fluent in a foreign language, you may attend training at the Defense Language Institute Foreign Language Center for 6 to 18 months prior to attending AIT.
