Health Services Coordinator

The Health Office Nurse provides assigned health services related to the medical and physical records and needs of students under the general supervision of an administrator or a nurse. The primary responsibilities include:
- Providing a variety of specialized health care techniques and procedures after training.
- Administering prescribed medications in accordance with District policy and school rules.
- Monitoring, administering, and/or supervising a student on insulin, insulin pump, or other insulin devices.
- Lifting children in and out of school buses, wheelchairs, braces, or other orthopedic equipment.
- Maintaining a valid First Aid and CPR certificate.
- Performing a variety of clerical, bookkeeping, and record-keeping duties, such as maintaining confidential health-related records and files.
- Establishing and maintaining cooperative working relationships with those contacted in the course of work.
- Receiving and giving information over the telephone or in public in a clear and concise manner.
- Learning to operate various types of office machines.
The ideal candidate must possess:
- A valid LVN or RN License.
The written test will be given as needed, and a picture ID is required. Late arrivals will not be admitted for testing. No cell phones or calculators are allowed.
