Position Overview:

The Senior Mechanical Assembly Specialist plays a crucial role in Xometry's on-site product assembly, requiring a candidate with substantial expertise in electro-mechanical assembly and the testing of completed products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct mechanical assembly of subassemblies and final products
  • Perform testing on both subassemblies and final products
  • Interpret assembly instructions, wiring diagrams, and engineering documentation
  • Proactively identify and resolve issues in collaboration with relevant teams to maintain an efficient production schedule
  • Actively participate in Process Improvement Teams
  • Carry out additional tasks as required

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a comparable manufacturing setting
  • Ability to read and understand wiring diagrams and mechanical schematics
  • Desirable skills include proficiency in metalworking/machine shop practices, as well as basic PCA (Printed Circuit Assembly) rework and wire soldering, though not mandatory
