Surgical Technologist

Advocate Aurora Health is seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist to join our team in West Allis, Wisconsin. As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of surgical procedures, providing a safe and efficient environment for patients and medical staff.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and maintain aseptic surgical areas, ensuring a sterile environment for procedures.
- Assist surgeons and medical staff with various tasks, including gowning and gloving, preparation of materials and equipment, and passing of instruments.
- Monitor and maintain the operating room environment, ensuring it remains clean, safe, and efficient.
- Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure seamless execution of procedures.
- Perform various patient positioning and transporting duties, adhering to proper technique and safety protocols.
- Completion of an accredited or approved program in Surgical Technology.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA) within 6 months.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Physical stamina to lift up to 50 lbs, push/pull with 30 lbs of force, and perform other duties as required.
