About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist to join our team at Advocate Aurora Health. As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our operating rooms.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and maintain aseptic surgical environments, ensuring the highest standards of patient care.
  • Assist surgeons and other medical staff during procedures, providing essential support and equipment.
  • Operate and maintain various types of medical equipment, ensuring optimal performance and safety.
  • Transport patients and equipment safely and efficiently, adhering to hospital protocols.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care and efficient workflow.
Requirements
  • Completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, obtained within 6 months of hire.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Physical stamina to lift up to 50 pounds, push/pull with 30 pounds of force, and perform other duties as required.
