Job Title: Medical-Surgical Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical-Surgical Nurse to join our team at Greenlife Healthcare Staffing. As a Medical-Surgical Nurse, you will provide holistic care to patients requiring acute medical or surgical interventions.

Responsibilities:
  • Assessment and care of patients with a wide range of physical and psychological diagnoses and with a wide range of treatment modalities
  • Care of patients requiring special precautions such as isolation
  • Inserting and maintenance of peripheral lines
  • Maintaining central lines for administration of intravenous fluid
  • Providing emergency care as indicated
  • Administration of medications (oral, subcutaneous, intramuscular, and intravenously) and blood products
  • Verification of physician orders
  • Complete and accurate documentation of care according to facility/unit policies
  • Phlebotomy and bedside testing
  • Psychological support of patients as indicated
  • Complex wound dressing care and maintenance
  • May be required to work with COVID-19-positive patients and Patients Under Investigation (PUI), for COVID 19
Requirements:
  • Must have a minimum of 3 years current experience in an acute care, medical/surgical unit in an urban, academic Medical Center setting exclusive of agency assignments and must have worked within the last 6 months in the above settings
  • Must be a graduate of a school of professional nursing approved by the appropriate State-accrediting agency.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or in a related field or a master's degree in Nursing or in a related field is highly preferred.
  • Must have an unrestricted registered nurse license from any state (United States).
