**Job Summary:**

Greenlife Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Medical-Surgical Nurse to fill an opening with an Outpatient Clinic located in Newnan, Georgia. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years current experience in an acute care, medical/surgical unit in an urban, academic Medical Center setting.

**Responsibilities:**

* Provide holistic care to patients requiring acute medical or surgical interventions
* Assess and care for patients with a wide range of physical and psychological diagnoses and treatment modalities
* Care for patients requiring special precautions such as isolation
* Insert and maintain peripheral lines
* Maintain central lines for administration of intravenous fluid
* Provide emergency care as indicated
* Administer medications (oral, subcutaneous, intramuscular, and intravenously) and blood products
* Verify physician orders
* Document care accurately according to facility/unit policies
* Perform phlebotomy and bedside testing
* Provide psychological support to patients as indicated
* Care for complex wounds

**Requirements:**

* Minimum of 3 years current experience in an acute care, medical/surgical unit in an urban, academic Medical Center setting
* Unrestricted registered nurse license from any state (United States)
* Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or related field preferred
