Qualifications:
- Completion of an accredited program in Ultrasound Technology or Diagnostic Medical Sonography.
- Certification as a Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or as a Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) by Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI).
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality patient care by performing a variety of ultrasound procedures.
- Ensure safety and quality standards are met at the point of care.
- Educate patients about procedures, equipment, and examinations to promote understanding and cooperation.
- Implement safety protocols and conduct quality control measures on ultrasound equipment.
- Diagnose and address equipment malfunctions as necessary.
- Analyze imaging results and identify any quality issues.
