Key Responsibilities- Audiovisual Technology Management: Oversee the installation, maintenance, and upgrade of audiovisual equipment, including video projection systems, large format LCD displays, video and audio recording systems, and audio reinforcement sound systems.
- Technical Support: Provide expert technical assistance to faculty, students, and staff on the use of audiovisual devices, hardware, and software, ensuring seamless delivery of presentations and academic work.
- System Administration: Manage the University's usage of applications and services for recording and streaming media, including Panopto and Kaltura MediaSpace, as well as online collaboration tools such as Zoom, Teams, and Mersive Solstice.
- Maintenance and Quality Control: Perform regular maintenance and quality control checks on audiovisual equipment, ensuring optimal performance and minimizing downtime.
- Training and Documentation: Develop and deliver training programs for librarians, academic staff, and students on the use of audiovisual technology and related applications and services.
- Consultation and Collaboration: Collaborate with educational technology staff across the University to determine service and technology offerings, participate in campus-wide projects, and contribute to the development of best practices in audiovisual technology management.
- Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 1-2 years' experience in a technology or support environment, or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Technical Skills: Extensive knowledge of audiovisual equipment, including troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair. Experience with digital and cloud-based recording and conferencing tools.
- Interpersonal and Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders, including faculty, students, and staff.
- Problem-Solving and Decision-Making: Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
