**Job Summary:**

We are seeking a highly skilled Speech Language Pathologist to join our team at Tempe School District. As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will play a critical role in providing direct and indirect services to affect positive change in the communication behavior of pupils with speech and/or language impairment.

**Key Responsibilities:**

* Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations of referred students, interpret results to parents and teachers, and write appropriate recommendations and reports.

* Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students eligible for special education.

* Participate in school meetings and conferences regarding students with special needs.

* Provide consultation to classroom teachers, administrators, and parents on strategies to support students with communication disorders.

* Register with Medicaid as a provider and maintain accurate records.

* Participate as a member of the Multidisciplinary Evaluation Team (MET) and act as case manager for designated special education students.

* Plan, conduct, and participate in professional development in-services to enhance knowledge and skills in speech and language therapy.

* Review and maintain accurate records of speech language files and related paperwork.

* Attend regular meetings with the speech language team to discuss student progress and share best practices.

**Requirements:**

* Arizona Department of Education Speech Language Pathologist certification

* Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology

* Certificate of Clinical Competence (CFY)

* Arizona Department of Health Services State Speech Language Pathology License

* Ability to assess needs, develop, and implement IEPs, and evaluate outcomes in specialty

* Ability to travel to multiple work locations as assigned

**Working Conditions:**

* This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain confidentiality when working with sensitive student information.

* The Speech Language Pathologist will be required to travel to multiple school sites and work with students of varying ages and abilities.
