Job Summary

Soar Autism Center is seeking a highly skilled Speech Language Pathologist to join our interdisciplinary team. As an SLP, you will play a critical role in delivering outstanding care to children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD). We prioritize early intervention, integrated autism care, and the application of evidence-based methodologies tailored to the unique needs of each child and their family.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify speech, language, social communication, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders in children with ASD
  • Develop and execute individualized treatment plans to improve communication abilities of children aged 2-6, utilizing a range of therapeutic techniques and instruments
  • Collaborate closely with our multidisciplinary team, including behavior analysts, occupational therapists, and psychologists, to ensure comprehensive care
  • Engage families in the treatment process by providing education, resources, and support to foster their child's speech and language development
  • Regularly evaluate and document progress, refining interventions as needed to maximize effectiveness

Requirements:

  • Master's Degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from an accredited program
  • License to practice speech pathology in the state of Arizona or Colorado
  • 3+ years of experience in speech therapy, with a preference for those with experience working with children with ASD
  • Prior experience with Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) or a willingness to learn from our clinical teams
  • Ability to connect and engage with young children, embodying a playful spirit
