Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Enterprise Technology Risk Management Specialist to join our team at Truist. As a key member of our risk management team, you will be responsible for planning, initiating, and executing risk domain assessments for our suppliers, identifying and quantifying risk gaps within their control environments, and communicating these findings to relevant stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct onsite and remote risk domain assessments of suppliers' control environments, probing and asking follow-up questions as needed.
  • Document assessment results and review control environments of Truist suppliers.
  • Identify gaps and risks within suppliers' environments, acknowledging mitigating and compensating controls.
  • Partner with Truist Supplier and Service Managers to ensure alignment of business objectives and assessment plans.
  • Measure and monitor progress to ensure assessment deliverables are completed within established program SLAs.
  • Apply a deep understanding of business processes and technologies used within assigned supplier assessments to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and Truist standards, policies, and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field or equivalent education, training, or experience.
  • Minimum of 4-6 years of experience in cyber security control assessments, preferably with third-party risk management experience.
  • General understanding of risk domains, including BTCM, 4th party, BSA/AML, Fraud, Operational, and Compliance.
  • Technical understanding of applied enterprise technology management domain.
  • Prior experience in Cyber/Information Security related risk assessments.
  • Resourcefulness in multi-tasking, anticipating needs, developing creative solutions, and researching/synthesizing information to resolve problems with moderate supervision.
  • Excellent verbal communication, presentation, and writing skills, with experience conducting, preparing, and presenting analysis, deficiencies, and recommendations.
  • Strong business analysis and problem-solving skills, with ability to interpret and convey complex, difficult, or sensitive information.
  • Ability to decompose problems and make decisions when problems or solutions are not fully defined.
  • Over 50% travel time required to support a significant number of onsite assessments.

Preferred Skills:

  • Knowledge of financial services industry and all applicable regulations and industry standards.
  • Technical certifications, such as MCSE, CCNA, or Network+.
  • Security certifications, such as CISSP, CCSP, CISM, or CRISC.

Working Conditions:

  • Sitting: Constantly (more than 50% of the time).
  • Visual/Audio/Speaking: Able to access and interpret client information received from the computer and able to hear and speak with individuals in person and on the phone.
  • Manual Dexterity/Keyboarding: Able to work standard office equipment, including PC keyboard and mouse, copy/fax machines, and printers.
  • Availability: Able to work all hours scheduled, including overtime as directed by manager/supervisor and required by business need.
  • Travel: Can be up to 50%, nationally.
