Job SummaryWe are seeking an experienced HR Generalist/Strategist to join our team at Salinas Valley Health Clinics. This is a dynamic and challenging role that requires a strong understanding of human resources principles and practices, as well as excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Key Responsibilities- Benefits Administration: Collaborate with the corporate HR team to provide benefit information to new employees and answer ongoing benefit questions.
- Employee Relations: Address employee relations issues, such as harassment allegations, work complaints, and interpersonal issues between coworkers.
- Compensation and Analytics: Analyze market factors for compensation, recruiting, and retention purposes, and advise on compensation issues.
- HR Systems and Processes: Ensure the preparation and maintenance of employment records, and oversee the implementation of HR systems and processes.
- Employee Communications: Develop and maintain effective communication channels with employees, including the distribution of employee handbooks and other HR-related materials.
- Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, and identify and mitigate potential risks related to HR practices.
- Performance Management: Manage the performance management system, including the development and implementation of performance reviews and evaluations.
- Training and Development: Assist with the development and implementation of employee training programs, including compliance training and management development.
- Leave Management: Collaborate with the corporate HR team to track leaves of absence, including FMLA and other protected leaves.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Management, or a related field.
- Experience: At least five years of experience as an HR Generalist or Specialist, preferably in a company with over 100 employees and multiple locations.
- Certifications: SHRM or HRCI certification preferred.
- Skills: Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
