Position Overview
The role involves the fabrication of specialized aircraft components within the workshop environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Fabricate both primary and secondary structural elements utilizing sheet metal machinery
- Ensure tools are maintained in optimal condition while adhering to safety protocols
- Document work completed and participate in required training programs
- Execute assigned duties and offer training support as necessary
Job Requirements:
Must possess proficiency in operating machine shop tools, interpreting blueprints, and working with various metal types. Familiarity with aircraft manuals and applicable procedures is essential.
Work Environment:
Work is conducted under general supervision, allowing for some discretion in decision-making. Strong interpersonal skills are vital for effective collaboration with team members.
Physical Demands:
Ability to navigate around aircraft sections, lift heavy materials, and maintain a standing position for extended durations is required. Mental agility and the capacity to manage stress are critical.
Qualifications:
A high school diploma or GED is mandatory, along with a minimum of 2 years of experience in a machinist role.
