Medical Assistant Opportunity

Penn State Health is seeking a Medical Assistant to join our team at the Andrews Patel - Hematology Oncology Camp Hill office. This is a full-time position with a 1.00 FTE and a day shift schedule.

Job Summary

The Medical Assistant will be responsible for completing an array of duties, including rooming patients, medication reconciliation, and vital measurements/recordings. This position will also include administrative tasks such as chart-prepping, consistent patient communication, and working on various reports.

Responsibilities
  • Room patients and prepare them for exams
  • Reconcile medications and take vital measurements
  • Complete administrative tasks such as chart-prepping and reporting
  • Communicate with patients and families in a professional and compassionate manner
  • Work collaboratively with the healthcare team to provide high-quality patient care
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • Must meet current eligibility to sit for the exam with attainment of certification or registration through one of the Penn State Health approved agencies for Medical Assistants within 90-days of employment date
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required or must obtain BLS Certification within 6 months of employment date
