**Job Summary**

We are seeking a skilled Pain Management Specialist to join our team at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus. The successful candidate will work as an Acute Pain Service Advanced Practice Provider, collaborating with our multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care to patients referred to our Acute Pain Service.

The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree in Nursing or a Doctor of Nursing Practice degree from an accredited program, national board certification as a Nurse Practitioner or Clinical Nurse Specialist, and be able to obtain unrestricted licensure in the State of Colorado.

This role is expected to work onsite in Aurora, Colorado, and the salary range for this position has been established at $106,933 - $159,127 based on years of experience as NP/PA/CNS.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Provide comprehensive assessment and management for hospitalized patients, ensuring care is holistic by considering patients' physical, mental, emotional, social, and spiritual needs.
  • Collaborate with the Acute Pain Service physicians, obtaining a comprehensive health history, performing a physical examination, and establishing a diagnosis and patient treatment plan.
  • Document in the medical record the health appraisal data, history, physical findings, diagnoses, treatments, and progress of patient.
  • Participate in pain-related research and evaluation, as well as quality improvement projects, including initiation and assisting with problem identification and data collection.
