Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert legal and business counsel to company leaders and physicians, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
  • Lead and implement legal and compliance directives, initiatives, and programs, driving a culture of compliance and integrity.
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of regulatory requirements, including healthcare laws, regulations, and guidelines.
  • Collaborate with physicians, staff, and other stakeholders to ensure education and implementation of compliance policies and procedures.
  • Conduct internal audits, investigations, and risk assessments, identifying areas for improvement and developing recommendations for remediation.
  • Compile, analyze, and summarize compliance data, providing actionable insights to inform business decisions.
  • Review and approve legal contracts and documents, ensuring alignment with organizational policies and procedures.
  • Participate in professional development efforts, staying up-to-date on industry trends, laws, and regulations.
Requirements
  • Juris Doctor/Doctorate degree from an accredited institution.
  • North Carolina bar license to practice law.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience as a healthcare regulatory, compliance, or transactions attorney.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manipulate large datasets.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex information to diverse stakeholders.
  • Advanced working experience in Microsoft Office, including Excel and PowerPoint.
