Job Summary:

As a Snowmaking Equipment Technician at Copper Mountain Resort, you will be responsible for performing and coordinating preventive maintenance and repairs on all snowmaking equipment and machinery. This includes assisting in the training of department employees to operate efficiently and safely all department equipment, such as pumps, compressors, electric motors, valves, snowmobiles, and computerized control systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on snowmaking equipment and machinery to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Assist in the training of department employees to operate equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Collaborate with the maintenance team to develop and implement maintenance schedules and procedures.
  • Conduct regular inspections of equipment and machinery to identify potential issues and prevent downtime.
  • Develop and maintain documentation of maintenance activities, including records of repairs and maintenance performed.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical degree or certification preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a maintenance or technical role, preferably in a ski resort or similar environment.
  • Ability to work night or day shifts, including weekends and holidays, in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to lift 75 pounds and work in extreme weather conditions.
  • Valid US driver's license required.
