Job Title: E-Commerce Associate

The Salvation Army USA Western Territory is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented E-Commerce Associate to join our team. As an E-Commerce Associate, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our online retail platform.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Create and update product listings, ensuring accurate product descriptions, images, and specifications.
  • Select high-valued merchandise located at the warehouse to sell on our online platform.
  • Test items to confirm functionality or authenticity prior to posting (e.g., electronics, jewelry).
  • Administer inventory procedures to track active listings and securely store pending items in designated areas.
  • Address stock shipping, scheduling, and ensuring timely order fulfillment.
  • Provide excellent customer support via email, message, and phone, addressing customer inquiries and concerns.
  • Ensure precision in both written and verbal tasks.
  • Meet daily posting quotas and weekly and monthly sales targets determined by Supervisor.
Requirements:
  • High School graduate or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated competency in skill area as indicated by verifiable training and/or experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Work Environment:

Work is primarily performed throughout the store building. Occasional exposure to cold temperatures and wet conditions. Noise level is generally low to medium. Hearing protection may be worn when working around operating machinery.

Language Skills:

Must be able to understand, follow, and give both written and oral instructions and be comfortable working with diverse individuals in face-to-face contact and over the telephone.

Mathematical Skills:

Must be able to perform simple calculations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division) and apply concepts such as ratios and percentages in practical situations.

Performance Skills:

Must be punctual, organized, self-motivated, flexible, and possess a desire to learn and assist those he/she interacts with.

Protect the Mission:

Must complete the online course for this area and pass the Background Checks required by The Salvation Army for employment.
