Job Title: E-Commerce Associate

Join the Salvation Army team as an E-Commerce Associate and play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of our online retail platform.

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to create and update product listings, photograph products, and enhance the customer experience. As an E-Commerce Associate, you will work collaboratively with the Warehouse Lead, Regional Retail Manager, and team members to drive the success of our e-commerce business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create and update product listings, ensuring accurate product descriptions, images, and specifications.
  • Select high-valued merchandise located at the warehouse to sell on our online platform.
  • Test items to confirm functionality or authenticity prior to posting.
  • Administer inventory procedures to track active listings and securely store pending items.
  • Address stock shipping, scheduling, and ensure timely order fulfillment.
  • Provide excellent customer support via email, message, and phone.
  • Meet daily posting quotas and weekly and monthly sales targets.
Requirements
  • High School graduate or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated competency in skill area as indicated by verifiable training and/or experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Work Environment

Work is primarily performed throughout the store building. Occasional exposure to cold temperatures and wet conditions. Noise level is generally low to medium.

Software-Related Skills

Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook familiarity preferred. Working knowledge of integrated database applications and ability to use new software programs with basic training.

Language Skills

Must be able to understand, follow, and give both written and oral instructions and be comfortable working with diverse individuals in face-to-face contact and over the telephone.

Mathematical Skills

Must be able to perform simple calculations and apply concepts such as ratios and percentages in practical situations.

Performance Skills

Must be punctual, organized, self-motivated, flexible, and possess a desire to learn and assist those he/she interacts with.
