The ideal candidate will assist attorneys and management throughout the litigation process, including conducting legal research, drafting legal documents, and managing case calendars.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct thorough pre-claim investigations and initial assessments of cases.
- Draft and file legal documents, including pleadings and motions, with the appropriate courts.
- Handle administrative tasks such as scheduling hearings, organizing case files, and managing logistics.
- Maintain accurate indexes of pleadings and discovery materials.
- Organize and prepare exhibits, documents, and evidence for trial.
- Assist attorneys with discovery requests and interrogatories.
- Gather pertinent information from various sources to support case development.
- Act as a liaison between trial teams and external parties.
- Support case settlement processes as needed.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Litigation Paralegal.
- Strong understanding of litigation processes, court rules, and evidence handling.
- Excellent writing and communication skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and legal databases.
- Possession of a paralegal associate's degree or relevant certification.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Familiarity with client systems such as Black Knight/LPS, Tempo, and CaseAware is a plus.
