Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Field Service Technician to join our team at Ricoh USA, Inc. As a Field Service Technician, you will be responsible for servicing and repairing a variety of company products at customer locations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform a full range of servicing and repair service procedures, including diagnostics, installation, removal, and retrofits on assigned equipment.
  • Perform basic connected installations, set up IP addresses, download printer drivers, and provide customer training on printing standalone and network devices.
  • Perform troubleshooting and repairs or replace equipment components as necessary.
  • Complete technical training on new equipment as assigned.
  • Effectively execute all required territory management and call handling procedures.
  • Work closely with sales partners to maximize equipment leads and upgrade opportunities.
  • Maintain and manage own parts inventory with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Adhere to territory back-up plans.
  • Complete all required administrative tasks in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Comply with all company policies.
Requirements
  • High school diploma required; completed classes and experience involving computers, electronics, mechanics, etc. desired.
  • Valid state driver's license and minimum level of auto insurance coverage required.
  • Some working knowledge of electro-mechanical devices, electrical circuitry, electronics, and varying levels of digital competency required.
  • Methodical approach to resolving problems required.
  • Strong interpersonal and verbal communications skills required.
  • Excellent customer service skills, including ability to follow up to ensure closure of issues, required.
  • Ability to read and comprehend written technical information in the form of technical manuals, parts books, and relevant publications required.
Working Conditions

Typically works in an office environment with adequate lighting and ventilation, and normal range of temperature and noise. Extensive daily travel in an automobile between customer locations is usually required. Assignment of a walking territory within a limited urban area would require extensive travel by foot. It is necessary that all travel be done in a wide variety of weather conditions.
