Job Summary:
The Respiratory Therapist provides airway management, administration of nebulized medications, secretion management, and application of oxygen therapy within the scope of practice under physician orders. The Therapist plans, implements, and evaluates the effectiveness of therapy with communication to the physician and healthcare team.
Responsibilities:
- Provide airway management and administration of nebulized medications to adult, pediatric, and neonatal patients
- Manage secretions and apply oxygen therapy as needed
- Communicate with physicians and healthcare teams to ensure effective therapy
- Plan, implement, and evaluate the effectiveness of therapy
Requirements:
- 1 year of clinical experience in respiratory therapy (preferred)
- Associate's degree in respiratory therapy (required)
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification (required)
- NC Respiratory Care Practitioner certification (required)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (required)
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification (required)
Work Schedule:
7p-7a, every third weekend
