">The estimated annual salary for this position is $85,000-$110,000, depending on experience. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health, disability, vacation, and sick leave, as well as a 403B retirement plan. Employees and their dependents are also eligible for 100% free tuition at Howard University.
">Job Description
">As an Emergency Department Nurse, you will be responsible for assessing, planning, intervening, and evaluating patient care at the bedside. You will work collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team to provide compassionate, patient-centered care, adhering to HIPAA Privacy policies and procedures. Your duties will include:

- Assessing patient needs and developing individualized care plans">
- Providing emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to patients and families">
- Documenting patient care and outcomes in electronic records">
- Maintaining continuity among nursing teams through effective communication and documentation">
- Participating in unit performance improvement programs and quality initiatives">
- Protecting patients and employees by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols">
Required Skills and Qualifications
">To be successful in this role, you will need:
">- ">
- An Associate Degree in Nursing (required) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (preferred)">
- Three years of bedside RN experience in ED">
- Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the District of Columbia">
- Basic Life Support and ACLS certification through AHA">
- Nationally recognized Nursing Certification in assigned area(s) (highly desirable)">
