Compensation: Hiring range: $49.66

Note: Offer rates are determined by experience, with higher rates reserved for candidates with extensive experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately identify and delineate normal and dose-limiting anatomical structures using images from multiple data sources, demonstrating proficiency in image registration techniques across CT, MRI, and PET modalities.

• Develop and transfer reference images and localization markers for treatment verification and delivery, including DRRs, CBCTs, and other IGRT methodologies as required.

• Assist in the planning and execution of custom shield fabrication, wedges, and other beam-modifying devices.

• Conduct calculations to ensure precise delivery of prescribed doses, documenting all relevant information in patient records and verifying the accuracy of calculations through approved methods.

• Provide technical support to the medical physicist regarding radiation safety, qualitative machine calibrations, quality assurance of treatment plans, and radiation oncology equipment.

• Operate and perform quality assurance on treatment planning systems under the supervision of the Medical Physicist.

• Assist in applying specific dosimetry methods for patients and/or beams as directed by the Medical Physicist.

• Engage in quality improvement initiatives.

• Collaborate with physicists in designing and implementing research projects related to dosimetry.

Qualifications:

• Associate's degree in a relevant field; Bachelor's degree is preferred.
• A minimum of three years of relevant experience is preferred.
• Experience with Varian & Eclipse TPS is advantageous.

Licenses/Certifications:

• Certification from the Medical Dosimetry Certification Board (MDCB) is required.
• Licensed Radiation Therapist (ARRT) is preferred.

• Fluency in English, including reading, writing, and following instructions, is essential.
