Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Examination and Reporting: Conduct thorough vascular ultrasound examinations to create accurate Venous Flow Maps, recommending safe and effective treatment plans for patients.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with physicians to explain treatment plans to patients, addressing their specific needs and concerns.
  • Operational Efficiency: Ensure the smooth operation of procedure rooms, exam rooms, and ultrasound rooms, maintaining a clean and organized environment for patients and staff.
  • Quality and Safety: Perform additional ultrasound examinations as required to ensure the effectiveness of treatment and patient safety, adhering to standard time allotments for each type of exam.
  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate with office staff, administrative staff, and physicians to review the ultrasound schedule and ensure availability of ultrasound technicians for timely patient care.
  • Professional Development: Develop and maintain quality of work and skills through continued education and interaction with other ultrasound technologists.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Maintain equipment and manage supply inventory to ensure effective operations.
Requirements
  • Certification: Certificate of Completion from an accredited Ultrasound program.
  • Certified Professional: Registered Vascular Technologist, Registered Vascular Specialist, or Registered Phlebology Sonographer (RVT / RVS / RpHS), or ability to earn certification within 30 days of hire.
  • Cultural Competence: Cultural sensitivity and excellent patient care skills.
  • Adaptability: Ability to work well in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
  • Multi-Tasking: Ability to multitask, prioritize effectively, and work as part of a team.
