Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and interpret accounting-related clauses in custom contracts and other legally executed documents.
  • Manage custom contract data in our ERP system to ensure accurate billing and revenue recognition processing.
  • Monthly review of ledger and accounts for compliance with accounting standards, with a focus on contract accounting.
  • Collaborate with internal departments, including Billing, Collections, Operations, Finance, and Business Units, to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
  • Participate in special projects, such as studying and recommending accounting methods and procedures, and ad-hoc reporting requests.
  • Ensure the integrity of financial statements by following internal controls.

Requirements:

  • Relevant degree in accounting, preferably with 5 or more years of experience in accounting, including contract interpretation, revenue stream allocation, and accounting literature understanding.
  • CPA certification is preferred.
  • Knowledge and use of ASC 606 Revenue Recognition compliance and standards.
  • Proficient Excel skills are required.
  • Experience working in a public accounting firm and/or in public health is a plus.
  • Experience with Workday is a plus.
  • Significant understanding of revenue accrual accounting.
