Career Guidance Specialist

The Career Guidance Specialist at KidsPeace plays a vital role in supporting students in achieving their educational and vocational goals. This involves providing guidance services to help students plan their future, as well as assisting them in preparing for the transition to adulthood.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in education and experience working with children, families, and social service agencies. They will also possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide guidance services to students in planning their future educational and vocational goals
• Assist students in preparing for the transition to adulthood
• Consult with educational and other professionals to research past schooling and identify the best direction for future goals
• Develop and implement strategies to support student development and achievement

Requirements:

• PA Public School Elementary/Secondary Guidance Counselor certificate required
• Experience working with children, families, schools, and social service agencies
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders
