As a summer engineering intern with our Water/Wastewater team, you'll have the opportunity to work on meaningful, hands-on projects that will transform your classroom experience and help you envision your future career.


You'll be responsible for providing project design utilizing CAD/modeling software, performing technical analysis, preparing construction documents, and providing construction services. You'll also work closely with other team members and engineers on projects related to wastewater collection and treatment, as well as water supply, storage, treatment, and distribution.


Some typical projects you'll work on include sanitary sewer piping, water and wastewater pump stations, water piping, water supply wells, water storage tanks, and water treatment facilities.


Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you'll need to be passionate about:

  • Having ownership in the work you do
  • Using your talents to positively affect communities

You'll also need to bring the following skills and qualifications to the table:

  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to contribute and work well on a team
  • Pursuing a civil, environmental, or other related engineering degree
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Problem-solving and decision-making skills
