Position Overview:
Join the Copper River Family of Companies as a Clinical Pharmacist, where you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional pharmaceutical care. This position supports a Department of Defense contract and involves collaboration with various healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:
As a Clinical Pharmacist, your duties will include but are not limited to:

  • Evaluating patients' responses to medication therapies and developing tailored drug treatment plans based on established medical diagnoses.
  • Ordering and interpreting laboratory tests to assess the effectiveness of drug therapies.
  • Initiating, adjusting, or discontinuing medications for chronic conditions in partnership with the medical team.
  • Monitoring pharmacotherapy that requires adjustments due to changing pharmacokinetic profiles.
  • Administering medications according to established protocols and guidelines.
  • Assessing nutritional needs and prescribing appropriate enteral or parenteral nutrition in inpatient settings.
  • Reviewing patient medication histories to identify and resolve drug-related issues.
  • Collaborating with healthcare providers to optimize patient care.
  • Conducting comprehensive medication reviews during dispensing to ensure safe and effective therapy.
  • Providing education and training to clinical staff on new medications and therapeutic approaches.
  • Documenting significant drug interactions and pharmacy consultations with prescribers.
  • Facilitating drug utilization reviews as necessary.

Essential Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following requirements:

  • U.S. Citizenship is mandatory for this position.
  • Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree from an accredited institution.
  • Active and unrestricted pharmacist license in a U.S. state or territory.
  • Completion of a clinical pharmacy internship or residency accredited by relevant professional organizations.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Preferred Experience:
Ideal candidates will possess:

  • A graduate certificate from an accredited pharmacy residency program or at least 12 months of recent clinical pharmacy experience.
  • A minimum of 2 years of full-time experience in direct patient care within an ambulatory care setting.
