Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Maintenance Assistant to join our team at Good Shepherd Services, Ltd. as a full-time employee. This role will be responsible for performing routine maintenance tasks on our facilities and equipment, ensuring a safe and efficient work environment.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Administrative Authority: Receive and follow maintenance schedules and instructions from your supervisor, adhering to established maintenance policies and procedures.
  2. Routine Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance on grounds, parking areas, driveways, and other facilities, including cutting, trimming, polishing, sweeping, and other tasks as necessary.
  3. Facilities Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and repair on the facility and equipment, including plumbing, plastering, electrical, carpentry, mechanical, and other tasks as directed.
  4. Cleaning and Sanitation: Clean windows and screens, replace burned-out light bulbs, and perform cleaning duties as directed.
  5. Equipment Maintenance: Service heating and cooling units/systems, as specified by the manufacturer, per established policies and procedures.
  6. Additional Tasks: Perform unscheduled maintenance tasks as directed, and clean assigned areas and equipment as needed.
Requirements

This position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, with a minimum of 1-2 years of experience in maintenance or a related field. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a strong attention to detail, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Compensation

The starting wage for this position is $19.00 per hour, with a 80-hour workweek in a two-week pay period.
