- Manage medication storage and verification in accordance with established protocols.- Exhibit accountability for professional practice and pursue ongoing professional development.
- Attend relevant in-service training and meetings as required.
- Prepare and administer medications correctly, ensuring patient identifiers are used prior to administration.
- Greet patients and assist them in preparation for physician evaluations.
- When necessary, perform basic x-rays or assist Radiology Technicians with setup.
- Oversee appointment scheduling, prioritizing patients in urgent situations.
- Ensure timely patient flow and manage results effectively.
- Maintain and review patient records, charts, and other essential information.
- Complete additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Valid Licensed Practical Nurse license for the state of employment.
- Current BLS certification; IV certification preferred.
- A minimum of two years of experience as an LPN in a clinical or family practice environment is desirable.
- Ability to follow directions and perform tasks according to clinic standards independently.
- Must demonstrate emotional maturity and the ability to work effectively under pressure.
- Knowledge of venipuncture, laboratory processes, x-ray support, family practice procedures, EKG, and clinical protocol is essential.
- Proficient in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care based on individual patient needs.
- Familiarity with EMR systems is required.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with strong interpersonal abilities with patients, staff, and other healthcare professionals.
