Correctional Facility Nurse Specialist

Amergis Staffing is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse for an open position in correctional facilities in Raleigh, NC. The successful candidate will work on day or night shifts, with a 36/48 rotation every other weekend required.
Job Summary:This contract role offers a unique opportunity to utilize your nursing expertise in a correctional setting. As a Correctional Facility Nurse Specialist, you will provide high-quality patient care and support while working closely with the healthcare team.
Responsibilities- Provide medical care to inmates, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of acute and chronic conditions.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of each patient.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless patient care and coordination.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient interactions, diagnoses, and treatment plans.
- A minimum of 1 year of experience as a licensed Registered Nurse in corrections or a similar setting.
- Current TB and BLS certification.
- Ability to pass a skills checklist assessment before submission for consideration.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, staff, and management.
