Loan Administration Specialist

Position Overview: The Loan Administration Specialist is responsible for the onboarding and management of affordable housing and community facility loans utilizing a sophisticated loan servicing software system. This role also involves providing technical support and assistance to both internal and external stakeholders, ensuring that issues are resolved proactively and that service delivery is prompt and efficient.
Key Responsibilities:
- Input loan information into the servicing software, ensuring data integrity and accuracy.
- Generate loan amortization schedules within the servicing system following the closing of loans.
- Conduct various loan transactions, including processing payments, preparing and executing payoffs, calculating and managing escrow transactions, and facilitating loan disbursements.
- Manage payment requests related to property taxes, insurance, and reserve funds for repairs and replacements, ensuring timely processing and monitoring.
- Act as the primary contact for borrower communications, which includes preparing billing statements, addressing inquiries through multiple communication channels, and generating annual loan documentation.
- Execute monthly balance transfers for commercial lending products to the finance department.
- Serve as the internal expert for the loan servicing software, troubleshooting and resolving issues across various loan portfolios.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree is preferred.
- A minimum of one year of experience in loan servicing is required.
- Experience in commercial and/or residential real estate lending is preferred.
- Familiarity with affordable housing and community development is desirable but not mandatory.
