Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Project Manager to oversee the final design, construction, and successful execution of high-value energy efficiency MEP/Building Automation initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 5 years of on-site construction safety experience and a strong background in managing complex facility infrastructure projects, including renovations, retrofits, upgrades, building controls, automation, and energy services. A valid OSHA 30 Certification is mandatory.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily construction activities, administrative tasks, and technical management of renewable construction projects aimed at delivering energy savings for various clients.
  • Support the Senior Project Manager with project accounting, budgeting, scheduling, quality management, and internal communications.
  • Ensure adherence to financial policies and procedures, including revenue recognition and project setup rules, while acting as a liaison between the business office and operations.
  • Engage directly with clients to manage service delivery, maintain relationships, and fulfill contractual obligations.
  • Collaborate with the Engineering and Development team to assist in project design and development, including scope definition, subcontractor selection, cost estimation, and scheduling.
  • Regularly assess project performance and cost estimates to ensure alignment with plans and actual expenses.
  • Review bids from subcontractors and vendors to evaluate scope, schedule, and timely delivery of project-related materials and services.
  • Assist in managing vendors and subcontractors to guarantee quality control and timely project delivery while meeting customer expectations.
  • Directly supervise construction managers to ensure quality standards and project timelines are met.
  • Maintain and update project schedules, monitor critical path activities, and track outstanding items.
  • Provide a detailed two-week look-ahead schedule to facilitate client coordination and planning.
  • Support the Senior Project Manager in managing project expenditures and job cost accounting processes, ensuring accuracy and proper documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, practices, and codes relevant to the company, industry, and jurisdiction.

Additional Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience in energy efficiency disciplines such as direct digital energy control systems, variable frequency drives, high-efficiency motors, and renewable energy technologies.
  • Proven knowledge of OSHA safety standards and regulations related to mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities while fostering positive business relationships.
  • Completion or progress toward relevant engineering or technical education is preferred.
  • Strong verbal, written, and technical communication skills.
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and Project software.
  • Possession of a valid Driver's License in good standing.
  • Ability to pass security investigations and substance testing as required.
  • Willingness to travel and perform additional duties as needed.
