Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and organized Housing Specialist I/II to join our team at YCH. As a key member of our Housing Choice Voucher division, you will be responsible for determining eligibility, conducting credit and criminal checks, and establishing and maintaining wait lists for housing programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receive, review, and process applications for housing assistance
  • Determine eligibility within established guidelines
  • Conduct credit, criminal, and reference checks as required
  • Establish and maintain wait lists for housing programs
  • Notify applicants of housing availability

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Associates Degree or Bachelor's Degree (desirable)
  • Three years of full-time experience in a position involved in the provision of community or housing services programs
  • Possess a valid Public Housing certification (within six months of appointment)
