POSITION SUMMARY: We are seeking a Value Stream Manager I/II for our operations. This position is pivotal in managing and optimizing the continuous improvement processes across the value stream supply chain, from sourcing to delivery, to meet organizational objectives. The Value Stream Manager will dissect complex value streams into manageable components and delegate tasks effectively. This role also ensures that value streams align with Andersen Corporation's core values and strategic goals while developing leadership capabilities within the team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Achieve established value stream outcomes in safety, quality, customer satisfaction, cost management, and employee engagement.
  • Define and communicate performance benchmarks for safety, quality, customer service, costs, and employee development, ensuring team accountability.
  • Formulate and implement strategies for process enhancements in key areas, adhering to Lean Manufacturing principles and the overall manufacturing strategy.
  • Foster a positive work environment that promotes high morale, employee satisfaction, and performance excellence.
  • Align activities and resources within the value stream, encouraging cross-functional collaboration and employee participation as necessary.
  • Secure essential resources to fulfill customer requirements and execute business improvement initiatives.
  • Provide mentorship, feedback, and support to team members and managers to facilitate their professional growth.
  • Assist in the development of new processes and products.
  • Engage in supplier negotiations regarding matters that impact the value stream.
  • Commit to personal development and serve as a role model for ongoing learning.
  • Implement visual management practices for the value stream.
  • Guide and mentor emerging Value Stream Managers and Supervisors.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution or a comparable combination of education and experience.
  • 5 to 10 years of leadership or supervisory experience.
  • Proven expertise in Lean methodologies, Safety, Quality, and Manufacturing practices.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities.

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:

  • Strong business insight.
  • Knowledgeable in cost accounting, budgeting, financial analysis, IRR, and ROI.
  • Excellent communication and active listening skills.
  • Proven leadership with a proactive approach and enthusiasm for business operations.

  • Ability to coach and develop talent at all organizational levels.
  • Skilled in conflict resolution and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Experienced in manufacturing processes and IT systems.
