Job Description:
We are seeking a Senior Technical Specialist - Electrical Engineering to join our team at George Schmitt & Co., Inc. As a Senior Technical Specialist, you will be responsible for leading electrical engineering projects and providing technical support to our production departments. You will diagnose and repair electrical system problems on printing presses and converting machinery, propose and implement machine modifications, upgrades, and retrofits, and manage electrical spare part inventory for existing and future equipment. If you have a strong background in electrical engineering and leadership skills, we encourage you to apply.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead electrical engineering projects from conception to completion.
  • Provide technical support to production departments.
  • Diagnose and repair electrical system problems on printing presses and converting machinery.
  • Propose and implement machine modifications, upgrades, and retrofits to improve efficiency and productivity.
  • Manage electrical spare part inventory for existing and future equipment.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in electrical engineering, including leadership roles.
  • Proficient in PLC programming and component-level troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity with OSHA and NEC standards.
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to motivate teams.

Estimated Salary: $80,000-$100,000 per year.
