Your Opportunity + ImpactThis Engineering Associate position is an entry-level technical role designed for individuals on the path to obtaining their professional Engineer license. You will apply fundamental to intermediate engineering principles to execute design calculations, prepare comprehensive technical reports, and create design plans and details.
The Engineering Associate may be tasked with making minor project decisions.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and review design calculations, plan designs, and drawings.
- Review submittals and coordinate project documentation.
- Draft and assess specifications, letters, and technical reports.
- Conduct inspections and field assignments as required.
- Research, analyze, interpret, and apply written regulations, code compliance, and permit requirements to design projects.
- Maintain accurate documentation of work and project records.
- Possess knowledge of applicable Codes and Standards for project designs.
- Develop technically precise, clear, and deliverable drawings.
- Promote and support quality assurance and quality control processes to enhance deliverable quality and minimize design errors.
- Execute work within assigned budgets.
Bachelor's or Master's Degree in a relevant Engineering discipline from an ABET-accredited institution, or a related field of study. Zero (0) to (3) years of job-related experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Licensure/Certification:
Engineering in Training (EIT) preferred. Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and other relevant software programs is advantageous. A strong desire to expand knowledge and take on new responsibilities is essential.
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook). Strong oral and written communication skills, along with excellent organizational and time management abilities, are required. The ability to work independently and collaboratively within a project team is crucial.
