About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Athletic Trainer to join our team at AdventHealth Ottawa. As an Athletic Trainer, you will be responsible for delivering athletic training services to participating schools and community events, administering treatments and physical agents to restore function and prevent disability following injury, disease or physical disability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver athletic training services to participating schools and community events
  • Administer treatments and physical agents to restore function and prevent disability
  • Implement proper referrals for further medical attention when necessary
  • Plan and schedule community education projects
  • Perform daily functions of the athletic training room
  • Assist in developing and implementing policies and procedures for the department
  • Assist patients to reach their maximum performance and level of functioning
  • Participate in operational aspects of the department, maintain performance improvement activities, and participate in CQI activities
  • Provide input in formulating budget and assist in evaluating department performance versus budget controls

Requirements:

  • 4-year Baccalaureate Degree Required
  • Two or more years of experience
  • Graduate Degree - Preferred
  • Valid Drivers License
