Job Summary

Eli Lilly and Company is seeking a highly skilled Senior Director to lead our government affairs strategy and legislative outreach efforts. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing effective strategies to advance our business objectives and build strong relationships with key stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Government Affairs Strategy: Develop and implement a comprehensive government affairs strategy that aligns with our business objectives and priorities.
  • Legislative Outreach: Build and maintain strong relationships with key members of Congress, governors, and state legislators to advance our legislative agenda.
  • Advocacy: Represent Eli Lilly and Company's interests in front of various government agencies and organizations, and advocate for policies that support our business objectives.
  • Relationship Building: Foster strong relationships with key stakeholders, including community leaders, advocacy groups, and business organizations.
  • Project Management: Lead large-scale projects and campaigns to advance our government affairs and legislative outreach objectives.
  • Analysis and Reporting: Analyze and report on government affairs and legislative trends, and provide recommendations to senior leadership on how to advance our business objectives.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in political science, public policy, or a related field.
  • Experience: 10+ years of experience in government affairs, lobbying, or a related field.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work across boundaries and networks, and a strong understanding of the legislative and regulatory process.
