Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team at Alden of Orland Park, a 5-Star quality rehabilitation and nursing facility. As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for providing direct nursing care to our customers and supervising the day-to-day nursing activities performed by our nursing assistants.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct nursing care to customers, including administering medications, performing treatments, and monitoring vital signs.
  • Supervise nursing assistants and ensure they are performing their duties in accordance with established policies and procedures.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans for each customer, taking into account their unique needs and goals.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including physicians and therapists, to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Document customer care and progress in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with best practices and industry developments.
Requirements
  • Current, unencumbered license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Illinois and/or Wisconsin.
  • Current CPR certification or willingness to obtain within two weeks of employment.
  • Knowledge of nursing and medical practices and procedures.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak the English language in an understandable manner.
  • Ability to make independent decisions and work harmoniously with other personnel.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to move intermittently throughout the workday.
  • Ability to cope with the mental and emotional stress of the position.
  • Ability to possess sight/hearing senses or use prosthetics that will enable these senses to function adequately.
Working Conditions

Alden of Orland Park is a fast-paced and dynamic environment that requires flexibility and adaptability. As a Registered Nurse, you will be working in a rehabilitation and nursing facility with a diverse population of customers. You will be required to lift, push, pull, and move equipment, supplies, and customers in excess of 50 pounds throughout the day.
