About the Role
The Float Branch Administration Manager is a key member of our management team, responsible for providing leadership and direction to our branches within the region. This role requires a strong leader who can recruit, onboard, and train the Float Team, ensuring they deliver exceptional customer service aligned with our core values and mission statement.
Key Responsibilities
- Recruit, onboard, and train Float Team Members.
- Manage Float Team, establish performance expectations, conduct performance evaluations, and recommend discipline or discharge as needed.
- Coach and mentor Float Team Members, conducting monthly one-on-one meetings.
- Determine scheduling and staffing for the region, identifying gaps and allocating Float Staff accordingly.
- Assist AVP/Branch Managers with Saturday Schedules and Vacations to ensure branches are staffed appropriately.
- Work at different branches, assisting branch personnel with complex work-related problems and identifying inconsistencies to enhance processes.
- Oversee branch operations, ensuring policies and procedures are met in the absence of AVP/Branch Managers.
- Provide administrative support to AVP/Branch Managers or VP/Regional Manager as needed.
- Perform all duties of a Loan Officer, including taking loan applications, interviewing members, and ensuring documentation is complete.
- Maintain a positive working relationship with outside vendors, resolving problems and staying current on new product development.
- Participate in management meetings, communicate information to subordinate staff, and participate in local civic and community organizations to seek new business opportunities.
- Review incoming Web Loans and assign them to the appropriate branch across all regions.
- Perform other managerial and/or branch-related duties as assigned by the VP-Regional Branch Manager.
Qualifications
Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; BA/BS in Business, Finance, or related field preferred.
Experience/Skills/Knowledge:
- Minimum 3 to 5 years of progressively responsible experience in branch operations, with knowledge of teller, member service, and loan policies.
- Minimum two years of previous supervisory experience.
- Excellent verbal, written, telephone, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong service orientation skills aligned with the credit union's mission and core values.
- PC proficient, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), and the Internet.
- Ability to manage multiple projects/priorities simultaneously.
- Ability to sell products and services and conduct business development calls on members and potential members.
- Ability to function in a financial institution branch environment and utilize standard office equipment.
