We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Expeditor to join our team at The Bernard Group Inc. As an Expeditor, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth flow of production and timely delivery of products to our customers.
Key Responsibilities:- Coordinate the movement of products through various production areas, ensuring minimal wait times and efficient processing.
- Work closely with the Bindery Team Lead to align jobs for operators and ensure production needs are met.
- Direct raw materials and resources to meet departmental needs.
- Communicate effectively with production teams to ensure jobs are received and processed accurately.
- Scan jobs to precise locations within the production floor and move products to appropriate departments for tasks to be completed.
- Learn and understand the flow of production to keep jobs moving effectively and ensure timely delivery.
- Adapt and prioritize job movement based on production needs and communicate realistic delivery capabilities to customer service representatives.
- Collaborate with Quality Control Specialists to ensure inspection and documentation meet TBG standards.
- Communicate with shipping staff to ensure proper packing and packaging of products.
- Ensure paperwork and system entry into Pace and Collaterate is complete and accurate.
- Track all orders to compare to delivery goals and objectives.
- High school degree or GED required.
- 2+ years of experience in a production environment preferred.
- Background in lean thinking principles preferred.
- Efficient multitasking skills, with the ability to support multiple complicated projects.
- Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
- Ability to quickly adapt to changing priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.
