Job Description

Ryder is seeking a dedicated solo Class A CDL truck driver to join our team in Mankato, MN. As a Ryder driver, you will be responsible for delivering freight to various locations across the region, including MN, IA, WI, ND, NE, MT, CO, WY, and SD.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver freight to customers in a safe and timely manner
  • Operate a tractor-trailer combination vehicle, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations
  • Perform pre- and post-trip inspections on the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition
  • Load and unload freight, using manual pallet jacks as needed
  • Maintain accurate records and logs, including hours of service, fuel consumption, and vehicle maintenance
Requirements:
  • Class A CDL with hazmat endorsement
  • At least 9 months of verifiable experience in a tractor-trailer or comparable vehicle within the past 3 years
  • Ability to read, interpret, and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies, and procedures
  • Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
Benefits:

  • $1403 - $1700 weekly pay
  • Solo miles pay: $0.60 per mile with 2000+ miles per week
  • Solo stops pay: $18.75 per stop with 8+ stops per week
  • Per diem pay: $27.50 per night with 4+ nights per week
  • Overnights for route in sleeper
  • NEW consecutive multi-night route premium of $150
  • Loyalty bonus: $5000 - pays $2500 at 6 months and $2500 at 12 months
  • Paid training
  • Mostly Tuesday - Friday, no weekends
  • Typically 4-day work week
  • Start time: 4:00 AM
  • Trucks are three years or newer
  • Ryder drivers service the route, not the truck
  • 24/7 roadside maintenance by a Ryder-trained technician
  • Service employees fuel up our trucks at all 800+ maintenance facilities

Requirements:
  • Minimum 21 years of age
  • Pass a Ryder drug test
  • Pass a Ryder background and motor vehicle check, including drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
  • Pass a DOT physical
  • Pass a Ryder road test
  • Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position
