Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Nursing Care Specialist to join our team at Kaiser Permanente. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care and support to our patients and their families.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or physician, including vital signs, medication administration, and wound care.
  • Assist patients with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Monitor patients' conditions and report any changes or concerns to the Registered Nurse.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care.
  • Participate in departmental performance improvement activities and contribute to a positive and supportive work environment.
Requirements:
  • Minimum one (1) year experience as a Nursing Attendant in an acute hospital, skilled nursing, extended care, or convalescent care setting.
  • Current enrollment in an approved RN or LVN program may be substituted for 1 year of experience.
  • State Certification as a Nursing Assistant or completion of a Nursing Attendant course or current enrollment in an approved RN or LVN program.
  • Basic Life Support certification.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Some positions may be posted as bilingual Spanish required on a position-by-position basis.
  • May be expected to float to other areas within their scope of competency.
  • Willing to be trained on computer systems.
