The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is a vital member of our healthcare team, providing high-quality patient care in a correctional setting. As an LPN with Wexford Health Sources Inc., you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our patients.
Responsibilities- Assist in the delivery of patient care through the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
- Under the clinical supervision of a Registered Nurse, assist in the assessment of the physical, psychological, and social dimensions of patients.
- Implement medical plans through administering medications and interventions in accordance with provider instructions.
- Document nursing encounters, patient response, effectiveness, complications, etc., and communicate information to supervisory personnel and physicians.
- Assist in maintaining working and living areas and supplies in good order.
- Serve as a member of a nursing care and treatment team, and assist physicians as assigned.
- Current, unrestricted State Licensed Practical Nursing (LPN) License.
- Current CPR Certification.
- Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
- Minimum of one (1) year of clinical experience; correctional experience preferred.
