Job Summary:

We are seeking a qualified Child Care Attendant to join our team at the City of Durango. As a Child Care Attendant, you will be responsible for providing quality care and supervision to children in our Kids Club program. This is a part-time position, and we are looking for individuals who are available to work weekdays and some weekend daytime shifts.

Key Responsibilities:
• Attend all required staff meetings and training sessions
• Ensure all users are paid for by verifying the receipt or punching their card
• Ensure only authorized persons are picking up a child from the Kids Club area
• Keep an organized file of all required paperwork
• Provide quality activities for children in the Kids Club
• Interact and supervise the children in Kids Club continuously
• Provide clear direction and expectations to all users
• Ensure proper activities are being provided with the appropriate supervision
• Ensure site is clean and is in compliance with state regulations for school age programs
• Dress appropriately
• Report to work at the assigned time

Requirements:
• Experience in a childcare setting or as a teacher/school administrator/camp counselor
• Skill in operating a computer and relevant software programs
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of work
